ABOUT

The Phoenix Project goal is to increase the resilience and enhance the performance of Alabamians throughout the state.  In this initiative, resilience is the ability to face and cope with adversity, adapt to change, recover, learn, and grow from setbacks.  The goal is to provide interpersonal, intrapersonal, teaching aids and resources to create resilient and fit individuals who are better able to leverage mental and emotional skills and behaviors that promote enhanced performance and optimize long-term health.

Phoenix Project aims to expand personnel readiness to a broader perspective that encompasses physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and Family preparedness. 

The overarching goals is to reinforce professionalism and positive behaviors, while reducing behaviors inconsistent to good order and discipline, leading to sustained Personal Readiness and resilience, thereby enhancing a person's quality of life.

Through primary prevention The Phoenix Project Team has implemented a holistic, comprehensive, and proactive approach to strengthen  protective factors, and foster a Culture of Trust.  The proactive model empowers Alabamians to gain a holistic picture of Personal Readiness,; focus on individual growth and environmental changes rather than symptoms; and tailor and operationalize resources and training based on identified opportunities and evidence-informed practices.

 

This is an effort to establish prevention strategies to reduce suicides, negative quality of life issues and enhance work Life balance by providing fingertip access to a host of resources, self-assessments helping agencies.
